Qualitest Group is seeking an experienced QA Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their growing team in Canada. This role involves driving automation initiatives, mentoring a QA team, and providing manual testing support. The ideal candidate will have expertise in API automation, Postman, and SQL data validation. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, SDET, or similar role. Proven experience standing up automation frameworks from scratch. Demonstrated QA leadership experience and ability to mentor/train QA teams. Strong hands-on experience with API automation testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Playwright). Proficiency in programming/scripting with Python and/or JavaScript. Solid understanding of SQL and experience with complex data validation. Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms. Familiarity with Docker for containerized testing. Experience with Gherkin (BDD) for test design and collaboration. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, and defect management.
