Independent Contractor Tax Preparer (Commision Based)

This is a 1099 independent contractor position- perfect for someone who enjoys flexible hours while earning competitive commission-based pay. Responsibilities• Prepare accurate and compliant individual tax returns• Communicate with clients professionally (phone, text, email, in-person)• Gather required tax documents and verify accuracy• Educate clients on their tax situation when needed• Maintain confidentiality and follow IRS guidelines• Market and promote your services to bring in clients (3-5 clients weekly expected)• Provide excellent customer service to bring in clients (3-5 clients weekly expected)Requirements:• Previous tax preparation experience preferred, but training available for the right candidate.• MUST have reliable transportation• MUST be willing to market yourself (door-to-door, social media, referrals, events, etc.)• Strong communication skills• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines• Smartphones and internet access• Professional attitude and appearanceCompensation:• Commission-based pay• You will earn a percentage of each return you prepare. • Paid out weekly or biweekly depending on company cycle• Unlimited earning potential based on your client volume.
