This is a newer program in our organization dedicated to bringing parents the resources, support, and edutainment to teach children about America's blessings and limitless opportunities. We have a unique niche in providing supplemental educational material for children, all of which is non-partisan in nature. We need someone on our team who can flow easily between writing scripts for our, our core content which started PragerU, along with helping to write the history/Western Civilization-themed material for the PragerU Kids side.This role is perfect for a former History teacher with a creative bent who appreciates script writing/story writing. Duties andResponsibilities:• 5-Minute Videos• Write and workshop engaging 5-Minute Video script drafts that align with the established style and voice/tone• Perform detailed fact-checking, from easy-ticket items like dates and quotes to more complex ideas• Collect and vet sources to back up script claims, including determining what statements/ideas need to be sourced• Assist in any QA work needed on PragerU (including our social media channels) to ensure everything we publish is fact-based, documented and verifiable• PragerU Kids• Using your history knowledge, work to compile curriculums that will provide education to students at various levels: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12• Oversee the roadmap of what needs to be taught for each grade tier, taking into account what is missing/overlooked/revisioned in public education today• Assist in drafting fact sheets on requested topics for scriptwriters to reference when producing PragerU Kids content• Assist in QA work needed on PragerU Kids content, including magazines, books, and videos.• Other duties as assignedSuccessful Candidates Will Possess:• Impeccable writing and critical thinking skills• Work both solo and as part of a team• Able to self-motivate, hold yourself accountable and no ego (every idea doesn't get picked up)• Using your creative writing skills and subject matter knowledge across various disciplines and subject, ensure that programming is:• Consistent with our mission• Aligned to pro-America, Judeo-Christian values• Factually accurate and inerrant• Written at an age-appropriate level• Entertaining for young (and older) audiences• 5-7+ years of copywriting and creative space experience• Strong research skills• Expert understanding of English grammar, teaching, excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills• Highly motivated with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment• Understanding of trends, timely stories and viral contentTo apply, please first review our website at www.prageru.com.Please submit a resume, cover letter and writing sample/transcript.
