Job Title: Business Analyst ConsultantLocation: Columbia, SCDuration: 12+ MonthsJob Description:The Business Analyst will be responsible for working on project teams with project managers and other staff or independently to:• Document processes and procedures for various areas of projects with state agencies. • Analyze processes and propose improvements in support of continuous improvement activities. • Conduct requirements gathering, elicitation, analysis and management for projects• Conduct needs assessments or gap analyses for projects.• Support stakeholder management with project managers• Lead testing and solution/product validation in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) when needed• Plan for testing activities• Lead testing activities• Track and manage testing activities• Other duties as assignedRequired skills (rank in order of importance):• Ability to take complicated processes and document them in MS Visio or MS word. • Requirements gathering, elicitation and documentation. • Analysis of processes and continuous improvement.• Testing of systems and bug/defect tracking. • Excellent communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills.
