Role DescriptionThis role involves providing constant surveillance identification of cardiac rhythms for patients on remote monitoring. • Identifies and documents cardiac rhythms• Provides patient/family education• Performs electrode site care• Assures proper functioning of all monitoring equipment• Promotes bolthires effectiveness in the department through appropriate utilization of equipment and supplies• Ongoing training and review of patient monitors• Performs other job functions as assigned or requestedQualifications• High School Diploma or Equivalent• 0-1 years EKG monitoring experienceRequirements• HEART SAVER - American Heart Association certification• Ability to read, write & understand verbal or written instructions• Ability to maintain level of professionalism in interactions• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and routine hospital operation• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitationPhysical Demands• Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact• Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations• Physical activities include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion• Must have good balance and coordination• Medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs.of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently• Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of visionCompany DescriptionOur Associates are passionate about what they do, the service they provide, and the patients they serve.
