Hematologist - Telemedicine / Virtualist
About the positionResponsibilities• Evaluation, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of hematologic diseases of all types including blood disorders, anemia, blood clots, bleeding disorders and blood cancers. • Order and oversee diagnostic testing in alignment with NCCN guidelines. • Prescribe treatment and supportive medications. • Collaborate with the care team including palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, and research to ensure optimal patient outcomes.• Oversee care provided byAdvanced Practice Clinicians as required by provider licensure. • Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. • Participation in tumor board(s) is required. Requirements• M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology. • New Mexico Medical License. • Board certified or board eligible in hematology.
