Health Information Management Representative - Evening Shift
About the positionResponsibilities• Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information• Processes release of information (ROI) requests• Manages requests for documentation and information• Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record• Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems• May train and mentor co-workers• Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements• Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability• Work with bolthires Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management)• Other duties as assignedRequirements• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience• Must be 18 years of age OR older• 1+ years of Customer Service experience within a hospital OR healthcare environment• Experience with bolthires Office products• Ability to train for the first 4 weeks between 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday• Ability to work Monday - Friday, during our normal business hours of 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, based on the business needNice-to-haves• RHIT or RHIA certification• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish• 2+ years of customer service experience• Health Information Management (HIM) experience• Experience working within the health care industry and with health care insurance• Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting• Experience working in a call center• Previous experience communicating with patients and staff with various educational and socio-economic backgrounds• Clerical or administrative support background• Knowledge of federal and state programs that will benefit coverage for clients• Knowledge of medical terminology• Ability to travel between local healthcare facilitiesBenefits• Comprehensive benefits package• Incentive and recognition programs• Equity stock purchase• 401k contribution Apply tot his job
