Through our DE&I initiatives we hope to dispel myths, assumptions, and acts of implicit bias.About this positionThe Certified Coder accurately codes diagnoses codes, enter charges or validates charge entry and charges for professional billing across the system and/or hospital outpatient claims. Applies the correct ICD-10CM and CPT coding with appropriate modifiers, analysis and data entry performed on inpatient and outpatient's professional services for billing customer accounts and ensure accurate clinical data base is maintained. The incumbent will also ensure compliance of coding and documentation for reimbursement according to federal regulations and guidelines.Finance/Revenue Cycle/Coding and ComplianceRequirementsEducationGraduate from approved coding specialist programCertification through AAPC or AHIMA; or able to obtain certification within 18 months of hire Maintenance of certification and continuing education hours required- Must live in Minnesota or WisconsinExperienceExperienced coder with IR/CV specialty desired. Hospital based coding experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesContinuous learner focused on quality coding. Ability to be self-motivated with time management and critical-thinking skills.Independent and self-motivated.
