We partner with school districts seeking comprehensive psychological services, and this posting allows us to identify qualified candidates ready for placement as opportunities become available.Full-time school psychologist positions involve 37.5 hours per week providing psychological services to caseloads of 50-60 students across various grade levels and educational settings. You'll conduct psychoeducational evaluations, contribute to special education decision-making, provide intervention support, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student success in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains. What You'll DoSchool psychologists are integral members of educational teams who bridge the connection between psychological principles and educational practice.Your evaluation responsibilities include administering comprehensive assessments across cognitive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive domains to determine special education eligibility and inform intervention planning. You'll write detailed reports synthesizing assessment data with developmental history, observations, and input from parents and teachers. Beyond assessment, you'll serve as a consultant to educators and families on topics including learning difficulties, attention and executive functioning, anxiety and mood concerns, social skills development, and behavioral challenges.You'll participate in multi-tiered system of support processes, helping teams develop and monitor interventions at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels. Facilitating problem-solving meetings, providing professional development, and supporting positive behavioral interventions are additional aspects of the role. Required QualificationsCandidates must hold an active Michigan school psychologist license and possess a Master's degree in School Psychology or related field. You'll need two years of documented school-based experience including assessment, consultation, and intervention services.Strong knowledge of special education law, particularly IDEA regulations, is essential. Proficiency with current assessment instruments, understanding of evidence-based interventions, and ability to interpret complex data are required competencies. Virtual Work RequirementsSuccessful virtual school psychologists need excellent technology skills including proficiency with telepsychology platforms, digital assessment tools, video conferencing applications, and electronic health record systems. Your home office must provide confidential space for conducting assessments and consultations, along with reliable high-speed internet.Understanding of ethical considerations in telepractice and ability to maintain student confidentiality in remote settings is mandatory.
