Experienced Grafana and OpenSearch Engineer for Data Visualization and Search Optimization Project
We are seeking a skilled Grafana and OpenSearch engineer to on a freelance basis. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data dashboards in Grafana, as well as configuring and managing OpenSearch for efficient search and analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating these tools with various data sources, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security on the AWS Platform. Key Responsibilities:Set up and customize Grafana dashboards for real-time monitoring, alerting, and data visualization.Configure OpenSearch clusters, including indexing, querying, and performance tuning. Integrate Grafana with OpenSearch and other backend systems (e.g., Prometheus, Elasticsearch-compatible tools, or custom APIs). Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, querying, and visualization. Implement best practices for security, backups, and scaling in both Grafana and OpenSearch environments. Collaborate with our team to refine requirements and deliver iterative improvements. Required Skills andExperience:Proven expertise in Grafana: Building complex dashboards, plugins, and integrations.Strong knowledge of OpenSearch: Cluster management, query optimization, and familiarity with its Elasticsearch roots. Experience with related technologies such as Prometheus, Loki, Kibana, or AWS OpenSearch Service. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or JavaScript for automation. Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). At least 3+ years of relevant experience with portfolio/examples of past Grafana/OpenSearch projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.PreferredQualifications:Certifications in Grafana, OpenSearch, or related observability tools. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Familiarity with big data tools like Kafka or Spark for data pipelines. Apply tot his job
