Estimation Lead
About the position Responsibilities • Develop all capital cost estimates from planning conceptual level to final design and construction cost estimates. • Facilitate the development of information used to create cost estimates with internal and external stakeholders. • Support the development of bi-annual Programmatic Business Plan capital cost estimates, Program Baselines, and Project Update Reports. • Review Contractor estimates and claims. • Develop policies and procedures for programmatic cost estimating. Requirements • BA/BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience/education, including 2 years in a leadership role. • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Science/Management, or a relevant discipline. • 15+ years of estimating experience, with 10+ years in civil construction. • Knowledge of design and civil construction disciplines, methodologies, and best practices, particularly in transit infrastructure projects. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and cost management software. Nice-to-haves • Experience in a schedule-driven program environment. • Ability to develop internal and external resources for accurate cost estimation.
