Job Title: Employee Benefits Account ManagerLocation: RemoteEmployment Type: Part-Time, As-NeededEngagement: 1099 Independent ContractorOverviewSeeking an experienced, licensed Employee Benefits Account Manager to provide remote, part-time support on an as-needed basis. This role is suited for a senior benefits professional who can operate independently, manage client relationships, and support day-to-day account service without close supervision. Key Responsibilities• Manage assigned employee benefits accounts, including medical, dental, vision, life, and ancillary lines• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding benefit administration and service issues• Support renewals, open enrollment, and mid-year plan changes• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently• Prepare and review benefit materials, proposals, and client communications• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal benefits regulations• Maintain accurate documentation and records in agency systemsRequired Qualifications• Active insurance license in good standing for employee benefits (state-specific or multi-state preferred)• Minimum 5 years of employee benefits account management experience• Strong working knowledge of group benefits products and carrier processes• Proven ability to manage accounts independently in a remote environment• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills• Proficiency with agency management systems and common benefits platformsPreferred Qualifications• Experience working as a 1099 contractor or fractional benefits professional• Multi-state licensing and carrier appointments• Experience supporting small to mid-market employer groups• Marketing & Communication skills a big plusEngagement Details• Remote, flexible schedule• Part-time, as-needed workload based on client demand• Independent contractor (1099) status• Compensation negotiable commensurate with experience and scope of workTo ApplySubmit a resume and brief summary of licensing, experience, and availability.If you want this positioned more aggressively for senior talent, compliance-heavy environments, or brokerage versus employer-side work, I can tighten the language accordingly.
