Education Analyst, reporting to EdScale Founder

The ideal candidate enjoys working remotely and independently, values iteration and collaboration, is a strong and efficient communicator, is committed to equity and better results in education, and has advanced excel analysis and design skills. Responsibilities■ Develop and manage project plans and action steps■ Design workshop and training “lesson plans” along with PowerPoint slides for adults■ Facilitate preparation for progress meetings with partners■ Draft memos and other materials synthesizing inputs from workshops, trainings, retreats, progress meetings, focus groups, research, etc.■ Build tools/dashboards in Excel and bolthires Sheets to support and drive implementationRequirements■ K12 education experience: as teacher, aide, student teacher, camp counselor, etc. ■ Written and oral communication skills: structure clear communications, lesson plans, and PowerPoint presentations■ Critical thinking: synthesize ideas and content to produce first drafts of client deliverables■ Excel analytical skills: high-intermediate to advanced level Excel skills■ Entrepreneurial spirit: take on tasks with minimal direction, asking for clarity early and often, and creating products with pride as if it were your own business■ Positive, forward-looking attitude: always seeking solutions from a given starting point■ Desire to learn and grow from feedback: through a multi-iterative processSample Projects■ Organizational Strategic Planning: Partner with firm leadership to guide districts through strategic plan development.Lead the synthesis of stakeholder data and research to translate findings into actionable priorities. ■ Program Implementation & Monitoring: Design high-impact retreat agendas and review meetings to help clients track evidence and adjust strategies in real-time. Additional DetailsAnalyst rate ranges from $55 to $75 per hour. Hours fluctuate based on the project needs and candidate performance, estimated at 15-20 hours a week. Role is contractual. Contractor must have regular working hours during Monday-Friday EST to lead and join partner calls.Executive coaching and bonus structures are possible after one year of contracting.
