As a Device Specialist, you will play a crucial role in launching innovative and existing BVI implantable ophthalmic devices to cataract and LASIK surgeons and centers. This is an exceptional opportunity to build relationships with key stakeholders, provide clinical information, and strategically position BVI's unique devices in the market. Key Responsibilities• Account Management and Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including surgeons, office staff, and surgical teams.Effectively present BVI's portfolio of products and solutions to large and small audiences. • Clinical Education and Support: Demonstrate and disseminate clinical information within medical providers' clinics or operating rooms. Recommend updated techniques or newer devices to stay current with the ever-changing landscape and improve surgical outcomes. • Sales and Marketing: Strategically position BVI's unique implantable devices with marketing guidance to customers and end-users. Utilize electronic sales platforms to prospect and plan calls to reach sales objectives.• Data Analysis and Reporting: Use sales reports, data, and analysis to make informed targeted decisions. Recognize local competitive landscape to understand market trends and set short/long-term goals. • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other BVI employees to find additional ways to deliver BVI's full portfolio of products. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role. Requirements and QualificationsEssentialQualifications:• Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business and/or a related medical field.• SalesExperience: 3 years of selling experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in ophthalmology or a related field. • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office's suite of products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams. • Consultative Selling: Skilled in consultative selling and able to analyze sales reporting and data to make informed decisions. • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and customers.PreferredQualifications:• Ophthalmology Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of ophthalmology, cataract surgery, or LASIK procedures. • CRM Software: Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software. • Travel: Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, to meet with customers and attend industry events.
