This is a wonderful position for a person that is looking for a part-time position that brings value to our larger society. We are looking for a Development Officer who is a key member of our team responsible for driving the financial sustainability of Stone Hill Learning.This role is responsible for the full range of fundraising activities, including identifying donors and endowments, developing strategies, building relationships with donors, managing campaigns, and ensuring that our funding goals are met. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and passionate about our mission to cultivate the unique potential of gifted and non-traditional learners by providing a stimulating, personalized learning environment that inspires a generation of future leaders who will shape a sustainable and innovative world.Key responsibilities1. Fundraising strategy and execution• Identify and research new funding opportunities and prospective donors. • Conduct prospect research to build a pipeline of potential new donors. 2. Donor relations and stewardship• Identify, research, and cultivate relationships with prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing donors, ensuring they are engaged and appreciated. • Coordinate donor acknowledgment and stewardship programs to ensure proper recognition and ongoing engagement.3. Communications and marketing• Collaborate with our team to create and distribute promotional materials, including newsletters, impact reports, and social media content. • Craft persuasive messaging that effectively communicates the organization's mission and the impact of donations. Required qualifications• Education: Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or Business Administration. • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals.• Skills:• Experience with identify and securing first-time donors. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Experience with grant writing, event planning, and digital fundraising strategies. • Attributes:• A deep passion for and commitment to the organization's mission. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events as needed.FullyRemote and 100% commission-based.
