We are is seeking a full-time Database Administrator to support DoD customer out of the DMV. This is an exempt remote opportunity. Responsibilities Performs all functional duties identified independentlyDesign, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environmentOperate desktop database tools, scripts or queries to process and validate extracted dataExpert experience with Oracle 19cPerform AWS Redshift Data Warehouse and Oracle RDS DB administrationDiagnose and resolve production data load issues in a large-scale AWS data warehouseAdminister, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systemsEstablish and maintain data load and validation procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of data by the daily "data available" deadlines in a AWS Data WarehouseCoordinate changes to computer databases.Populate assigned databases with validated records from structured/semi-structured flat files/extracts and source databasesPlan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases. Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or closely related fieldMinimum three (3) years' experience in database administrationMust meet specific certification and training requirements in accordance with DoD 8570.1-M, DoDD 8570.1 (Certified within 6 months of assignment)Experience and Skills Excellent oral and written skillsExcellent critical thinking skillsProficient in bolthires applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to work independently and as a team memberAbility to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned dutiesExperience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.
