Cyber Security Analyst I
About the positionResponsibilities• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues with security controls and defenses. • Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise system security and design countermeasures. • Maintain hardware, software, and network firewalls and encryption protocols. • Administer security policies to control access to systems. • Create and assess documentation for Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Update and manage documentation for Authorization to Operate (ATO) maintenance.Requirements• BS degree in Information Systems/Computer Science with 1-2 years of experience. • Ability to secure a Security certification within 6 months of employment. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation using industry accepted methods. • High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn new skills. • Knowledge of cybersecurity governance and auditing in software/IT environments. • Project experience with administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux (SUSE, RHEL, and other variants).Nice-to-haves• Security certification or higher. • RMF experience with EMASS preferred.
