Course Description: Proactive Cyber Defense (Cybersecurity Program)Wake Forest University School ofProfessional Studies is seeking highly qualified candidates to develop and teach the Proactive Cyber Defense course in the online Master of Cybersecurity program.The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice of advanced strategies in Cybersecurity, along with recent trends and innovations in the industry. This course delves into advanced strategies and frameworks designed to anticipate, identify, and mitigate cyber threats. Key topics include security architectures such as Zero Trust, proactive threat hunting, continuous monitoring, and the integration ofartificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in cyber defense.Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, students will learn to design and implement robust defense mechanisms that enhance the resilience of digital infrastructures. Students meet face-to-face in a virtual classroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academic concepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues. FacultyQualifications:• Master's degree in program field or related degree.Terminal degree preferred• 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching. Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued by industry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagues who are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices. • 5+ years industry experience.
