(GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a part-time 10-20 hours per week, Contracted Psychiatrist. This is a remote position located in the state of Oregon serving the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (EOCCO) area.The Psychiatrist provides clinical leadership and oversight for behavioral health services across Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) and the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (EOCCO). This role combines direct psychiatric care with system-level leadership, ensuring high-quality, person-centered, and culturally responsive behavioral health services. The Psychiatrist supports integration of behavioral health and primary care, advises on clinical policy, and provides psychiatric expertise to providers and stakeholders across the region.Essential duties include:Clinical Leadership and Oversight• Provide psychiatric expertise and guidance in clinical decision-making, quality improvement, and program development. • Ensure behavioral health services meet evidence-based standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational values. • Collaborate with EOCCO’s medical and behavioral health leadership to strengthen integration of care across systems. • Serve as a clinical resource for providers within GOBHI’s and EOCCO’s networks. • Participate in utilization review, case consultation, and medical necessity determinations when appropriate.Direct Psychiatric Services• Provide psychiatric consultation with hospitals, medical clinics, and other community providers as needed. • Provide telehealth psychiatric consultation as needed, with a focus on accessibility for rural and underserved populations. • Support care coordination across behavioral health, primary care, and community-based services. Policy and System Development• Advise executive leadership on behavioral health strategies, emerging clinical trends, and regulatory changes. • Contribute to workforce development initiatives, provider education, and clinical training opportunities.• Partner with state agencies, community providers, and other stakeholders to improve behavioral health systems of care in Eastern Oregon. Compliance & Quality• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Medicaid requirements. • Support clinical quality improvement initiatives and performance measurement. • Promote equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices in behavioral health service delivery. Requirements:What is needed to succeed in this role:• Five years’ of clinical psychiatric experience.• Knowledge of Medicaid, Coordinated Care Organizations, and integrated care models strongly preferred. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. • Maintains good driving record and required vehicle insurance. • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified in Psychiatry. • Active and unrestricted license to practice psychiatry in Oregon (or eligible to obtain). • DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
