ResponsibilitiesJob Summary / PurposeEnterprise Identity management Patient Identity analyst is responsible for assisting management with day to day operations. Ensure departmental compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and contributor to corporate information quality and integration projects.Essential Key Job Responsibilities• Develop, maintain and monitor departmental performance standards for productivity, timely completion of tasks, and quality issue resolution for the EIM• Submit reports weekly to EIM management• Establish and maintain effective communication with other hospital and regional departments, acting as liaison for the EIM function• In conjunction with Dignity Health IT, oversee all activities of the EIM vendor in the installation and implementation of software systems and upgrades• Coordinate the EIM process to ensure maximum efficiency of workflow and ensure timely and accurate management of the EIM in a cost effective manner• Ensure 24/7 operation and staffing â On call• Respond to requests from clinicians, hospital departments, patients and families in a timely and efficient manner to ensure effective and appropriate customer relations are protected• Develop and keep current on organizational and departmental policies and procedures• Keep current on changes in regulations and CommonSpirit requirements affecting patient identity management, sharing with other departments as necessary• Assist management with different duties and functions including encouraging and maintaining a positive working environment,mentoring, training, coordinating scheduling and assisting with on-call schedule•  Fosters professional relationships with peers as a means for collecting customer feedback, gauging departmental performance, and exposing opportunities for improvement.• Investigate reports of mis-identity or identity theft in close collaboration with Privacy Official and Facility Privacy Liaisons• Train resources for any hospital or regional department in need of training and in-service of staff on the EIM and how it impacts and integrates with other IT systems• Act as system administrator working with the vendor and Dignity Health IT to maintain and troubleshoot system issues• Work with Admitting and other departments to control the creation of duplicate medical record numbers through utilization of prevention software, as well as providing feedback and ongoing training• Assist management in preparation of capital and operating budgets for EIM function and maintain labor and non labor costs within productivity and budget• Investigate and rectify complicated potential instances of medical record overlays, linkages,duplicates and other issues.• Disseminate patient medical record and provider merge information to colleagues as appropriate. • Perform other related duties as assigned and in a professional mannerQualificationsRequired Education and Experience• Bachelor's degree in related healthcare/ technical areas or equivalent professional experience• 2 years in a healthcare related industry. Preferred Licensure and Certifications• Registered Health Information Management- RHIA/RHITÂRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training• Working knowledge in applications such as Cerner, Ms4, Invision, IDX/GE and initiate• Strong understanding of data matching techniques and algorithms utilized for identity management.• Strong ability to calmly manage simultaneous priorities, comfortable collaborating with colleagues at all levels, skillful working as a facilitator between multiple parties, able to maintain clear focus and work successfully under stressful conditions. • Aptitude for problem-solving involving complicated, interrelated, and sometimes conflicting components requiring careful observation, pattern identification, and strict adherence to process sequencing. Ability to successfully lead real-time troubleshooting efforts and conduct post-event root cause analyses.• Strong coaching, mentoring, training, facilitation and presentation skillsExpected salary:Location: Phoenix, AZApply for the job now!
