Beacon Inspections is searching for 1099 Independent Contractor Commercial Vehicle Field Inspectors in Mapleton, North Dakota. The ideal Independent Contractor will have experience as a diesel technician or in automotive repair industry and a knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment maintenance. Other common background includes auto inspectors, home inspectors, and insurance adjusters.Required:• Must reside in the greater Mapleton area• 1099 Independent Contractor status• Flexible Schedule (daylight hours, Monday - Friday)• Comfortable working outdoors• Access to a newer smartphone or tablet with sufficient data plan• Access to a laptop/desktop computer• Heavy Duty Truck Diagnostic Tool (must read fault codes, capture aftertreatment (DPF/DEF) status, and provide printable or exportable report)• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license• Strong oral and written communication skills• Proficiency with bolthires and other web based software• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of timePerks include:• Extra income with flexible, ad-hoc work• Be your own boss and set your own hours• Flexible work environment• Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervisionCompensation:$15,000 - $75,000 per year (part-time to high-volume)Paid per inspection with mileage reimbursement.Location:Mapleton, North Dakota remote, on-site inspections Apply tot his job
