Enter patients and order information into the pharmacy systems. Establish andmaintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients. Process and submit prescription insurance claims for our customers along withresolving insurance problems and patient issues that may result from incorrect orincomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors.Keeping patients informed on the status of their prescription or out of pocket costs intheir upcoming shipments. Perform account adjustments, method of payment, banking and unbilledreconciliationsVerify insurance data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to billingincluding analyzing and verifying dates of service, quantity, day supply and billedamounts. Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denialsComplete prior authorizations with attention to detail and accuracy, prior to sendingto the prescriber or Cover My MedsTransfer calls, tickets, claims, or shipments to the pharmacist when necessaryAccept customer and prescription information required to process new and refillprescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted bystate lawCollect, organize, and evaluate patient information, while maintaining confidentialityof all information received.Receive and transcribe English-language prescriptions sent electronically fromdoctors' offices and external pharmacies. Communicate with providers to obtain new written English-language prescriptions orrefill requests and verify that the information is complete and accurate. Ensure compliance with all company procedures, federal/state laws, rules andregulationsIncreasing knowledge and understanding of commonly prescribed medications andtheir uses. Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customersatisfactionPerform other tasks assigned while working in a fast paced environmentWork a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal businesshours including weekends Apply tot his job
