A successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports using Microsoft SQL Server to connect actions to data sources to reduce manual processes. This Business Intelligence Engineer II position requires the ability to work independently, gather and analyze requirements from business partners and deliver high-quality Business Intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities:• Develop, Implement, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using multiple database sources• Gather and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders to design effective solutions• Optimize and maintain SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and other business intelligence tools• Document processes, technical designs, and report configurationsUse your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications• Must be willing and able to work schedule aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL programming, including query optimization and data manipulation• Minimum 2 years of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards• Minimum 1 year of experience with Power Apps and/or Power Automate• Proven experience working with both Medicaid and Medicare data sets• Demonstrated ability to leverage reporting solutions to address complex business and data challenges• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesWork-At-Home Requirements• At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested• Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership• Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided with a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.• Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationPreferred Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field• Experience working with Databricks for big data processing and analytics• Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and its data modeling capabilities• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar project management and collaboration tools• Demonstrated ability to integrate and analyze data from multiple sources• Strong enthusiasm for learning new tools, technologies, and data environmentsAdditional Information• As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we may contact you via text message and email to gather more information using a software platform called HireVue.HireVue Text, Scheduling and Video technologies allow you to interact with us at the time and location most convenient for you. • If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you may receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice, Text Messaging and/or Video interview. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $66,800 - $91,100 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
