It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe NCDHHS Division of Social Services is seeking a Child Welfare Finance Analyst to join the Child Welfare Finance Team. This position provides comprehensive fiscal oversight and support for child welfare contracts, procurements, and grant-funded services. The analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial management to support child welfare programs across the state. Key Responsibilities:• Maintain fiscal oversight of child welfare contracts, procurements, and grant-funded services.• Monitor expenditures to ensure accuracy, allowability, and compliance with federal and state funding requirements. • Support preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of child welfare budgets. • Review and process invoices, encumbrances, and financial documentation. • Assist with federal and state reporting related to child welfare grants. • Coordinate with program teams, budget staff, and county partners to resolve fiscal issues. • Ensure fiscal documentation is complete, consistent, and audit-ready.• Provide technical assistance and guidance on funding policies, cost allocation, and fiscal procedures. This position is 100% federally funded. This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
