• *Job Title: Bookkeeper for Research Grants and Contracts • *Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health and integrity of our research grants and contracts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will work closely with research teams, finance staff, and external partners, ensuring compliance with both company policies and grantor requirements. • *Key Responsibilities: - Manage and monitor the financial aspects of research grants and contracts, ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices are followed. - Maintain detailed records of financial transactions, including grant receipts, expenditures, and allocations. - Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies in a timely manner. - Collaborate with research teams to develop budgets and track financial progress against project milestones. - Reconcile accounts, statements, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. - Assist in the preparation of documentation required for audits and reviews. - Provide financial insights and analyses to support decision-making for research projects. - Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and standards related to research grants and contracts. • *Qualifications: - Proven experience as a bookkeeper, particularly within a research or grants management environment. - Thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. - Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Familiarity with grant management software is an advantage. • *Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - Relevant certification such as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is a plus. - Previous experience in managing research grants or similar financial roles is highly desirable. • *Why Join Us? - Be a part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. - Contribute to meaningful research projects that make a significant impact. - Enjoy opportunities for professional development and career advancement. - Work in a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages work-life balance.
