Board Member: Corporate Philanthropy/Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Disaster Accountability Project (DAP) is seeking a new Board member with a background in corporate philanthropy or CSR. This is a volunteer (unpaid) position with the potential to make a meaningful impact on humanitarian aid efforts across the world. DAP is the only independent watchdog of global disaster relief and humanitarian aid. In 2021, only 1.2% of global funds donated reached local actors. Our SmartResponse platform helps donors identify and directly support organizations operating locally when disasters strike.Over *900* organizations from 70+ countries and 25+ U.S. states and territories have registered on SmartResponse.org. In addition to improving effectiveness, accountability and transparency in disaster relief and humanitarian aid, DAP advances the localization objectives of the Grand Bargain, a primary output of the UN's World Humanitarian Summit.
