Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic AP Environmental Science Tutor to.In this role, you will work one-on-one or in small groups with high school students to deepen their understanding of AP Environmental Science concepts and prepare them for success on the AP exam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience in teaching or tutoring at the AP level. Key Responsibilities• Provide personalized one-on-one or small group tutoring in AP Environmental Science• Develop and deliver customized lesson plans and teaching strategies tailored to each student's needs• Explain complex scientific concepts clearly, including ecosystems, biodiversity, population dynamics, pollution, and sustainability• Assist students in mastering data analysis, lab interpretation, and free-response question strategies• Prepare students for the AP Environmental Science exam by covering key concepts, reviewing past exams, and developing test-taking strategies• Monitor student progress, provide detailed feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly• Communicate regularly with students (and parents, when applicable) to review progress and set academic goals• Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that keeps students motivated and engagedQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Earth Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)• Strong knowledge of the AP Environmental Science curriculum, exam format, and scoring guidelines• Prior experience in tutoring or teaching AP Environmental Science or equivalent high school science courses• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific ideas clearly and effectively• Familiarity with AP test prep strategies and scientific inquiry-based learning• Comfortable tutoring online and flexible with scheduling• Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goalsWhat We Offer• Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications• Flexible scheduling to accommodate both tutor and student availability• The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys• Access to teaching resources and ongoing support from a collaborative team• A dynamic and rewarding tutoring experienceJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hourPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyApplication Question(s):• What is your SAT/ACT scores breakdown?Education:• Bachelor's (Required)Experience:• teaching or tutoring: 1 year (Required)Work Location:Remote Apply tot his job
