AI Underwriting Vendor Data Analyst
About the positionResponsibilities• Research potential new data vendors and prepare supporting materials. • Track and project manage Proofs of Concept, ensuring milestones are met and results are captured. • Retrieve PoC data, perform initial analysis, and summarize findings for review. • Support the contracting process for vendors, coordinating with legal, finance, and vendors for POCs, new contracts, and renewals. • Triage vendor issues as the first point of contact; escalate unresolved problems as needed.• Monitor usage dashboards for fill rates, spend, and anomalies; prepare reports comparing usage to budget. • Own and update vendor documentation, including information from contracts, product catalogs, and performance notes. • Work with internal Product Managers to provide sample queries; run data analysis using SQL and Python. Requirements• Vendor Support: Strong organizational skills to manage intake, track PoCs, and coordinate across multiple vendor projects. • Data Skills: Ability to work with SQL or Python for data retrieval and analysis; comfort interpreting vendor datasets.• API Familiarity: Understanding of APIs and ability to interpret responses; willingness to learn Postman or similar tools. • Communication: Clear written and verbal skills for summarizing results and coordinating with stakeholders. • Problem-Solving: Ability to triage vendor issues and follow through to resolution. • Documentation: Attention to detail in maintaining accurate vendor records and data usage documentation. Nice-to-haves• Experience with vendor coordination, procurement workflows, or data operations.• Prior exposure to insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries. • Familiarity with collaboration/documentation tools such as Confluence.
