Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Brief Writer to join our dynamic wage and hour employment law practice group. This position is ideal for a skilled legal writer who wants to focus exclusively on research and brief writing without the demands of court appearances or client interaction. You will support our growing litigation team by producing high-quality written work for complex class action and collective action cases.AboutOur FirmOur firm is a leading plaintiff-side employment law practice with offices in California, Texas, and Illinois.Our wage and hour practice group has approximately 15 attorneys and is experiencing rapid growth. We represent employees in class actions, collective actions, and individual wage and hour disputes against employers nationwide. Key ResponsibilitiesDraft motions, briefs, and other legal documents for wage and hour litigationConduct comprehensive legal research on employment law issuesPrepare research outlines and memoranda for senior attorneysSupport litigation team with written advocacy in federal and state courtsCollaborate with attorneys on case strategy through written analysisMaintain consistent quality and meet demanding deadlines in a high-volume practiceRequired QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of legal writing experience in a law firm environmentJudicial clerkship experience strongly preferred – we value the rigorous writing training that comes from clerkingExtensive background in wage and hour law writing including FLSA, state wage laws, class actions, and collective actionsExceptional research and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished work productWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: $130,000 - $150,000 (based on experience and qualifications)Work-life balance: No court appearances, depositions, or client meetings requiredFully remote position with flexible schedulingProfessional growth opportunities within an expanding practiceCollaborative environment with experienced employment law attorneysComprehensive benefits packageYear-end bonus potential based on performance and contribution to team successIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a skilled legal writer who thrives in a research-focused role and wants to make a significant impact through written advocacy.You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple attorneys and cases simultaneously.
