Launched in 2000 with a collection of tailored clothing and sportswear, the brand now represents an entire lifestyle that includes belts, bags, footwear, eyewear, limited edition watches and fragrances as well as the younger, edgier John Varvatos Star USA collection.THE ROLEReporting directly to the Controllor, in this position you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and building strong relationships with vendors. Responsibilities include:Prepare weekly payment runs, ensuring payments are booked the same day they are madePerforming the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgersReview and verify invoices and payment requestsProvide supporting documentation for auditsOther basic clerical duties associated with accounts payableComprehensive knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of three years' experienceTrack record of success in AP transformation and automationExperienced in processing and payment of invoices in multiple currencies and from multiple bank accountsProven experience within a high-volume accounts payable environmentConfident communication as this role will involve liaising with various manager of the businessA solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (Understanding V-Lookup, Pivot and Functions an advantage)Strong communication (written & verbal) and organizational skillsStrong work ethic; Resourceful, hands-on, and able to sense urgencyAbility to work in fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under tight deadlines as related to month end and year end closeExcellent organizational and time management skillsUnderstanding of processes and controls within Financial Operations/AccountingBachelor's degree mandatory3+ years of full cycle A/P experienceExperience in a retail or other inventory centered organization preferredExperience with RLM accounting software preferredExperience with international payment/taxes preferredThis position is a full time position at a rate of $65,000.00 USD/Year.Open to hybrid and remote applicants.
